The Quincy Community Supper core team hosted a supper Dec. 18. The evening began with a group chorus of “Joy to the World,” led by Kenny Davis. The team served glazed baked ham, a creamy cornbread casserole, green beans, Caesar salad and cake to over 100 guests.
The next supper is planned for Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Quincy. There is no charge for this meal and the entire community is invited. The Community Supper meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Begun in 2002, the supper is hosted by a rotating group of churches, schools, businesses, civic groups and offices.
