David Paul Beynon, 73, passed away Jan. 12, 2025, in Reno, Nevada. Born Feb. 26, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, Dave spent over 50 years as a beloved resident of Quincy, California, where he built a life rooted in service, love and dedication.
Dave is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eileen “Jodi” Beynon; sons Tavis (Kelli) and Cory (Ariann); brothers Scott and Mike; and five cherished grandchildren: Kendal, Kolton, Tanner, Zephyr and Dax. He was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and brother who cherished his family above all else.
A proud Navy veteran, Dave served his country with honor. He also dedicated years of his life to the U.S. Forest Service as a firefighter and park ranger, and later as a United States Postal Service rural carrier in Quincy. His deep love for his community was evident in his many years coaching Little League, where he not only taught baseball but also imparted life lessons to countless young athletes.
Dave was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity. He loved music, treasured time with friends, and found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. To those who knew him, Dave was more than a friend; he was a cornerstone of the community, an inspiration, and a role model.
Funeral services will be held on Feb. 22, 2025, at the Methodist Church in Quincy. Later that afternoon, family and friends will gather to celebrate Dave’s life and honor the many memories he leaves behind.
Dave’s legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
