Cindy Noble will lead a restorative nature-based yoga workshop Feb. 5, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Sierra Valley Preserve Nature Center.

Yin-style yoga focuses on the body’s connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, bones and fascia networks with the body. The class is for all ages, levels and interests. Cost is $20 per person.
Participants need to bring their yoga supplies, including mat, bolster or cushion and water bottle, and wear comfortable clothing.

Also at the Nature Center, Sierra Valley resident and artisan Nick LaHaise will teach participants about the art of weaving willow hearts Feb. 8, 10 a.m. The cost is $25.
LaHaise has spent the last 10 years studying traditional arts, such as basketry and green woodworking.
Space is limited, and organizers encourage early registration. For more information about the yoga workshop, or to reserve a place, visit the Nature Center’s yoga workshop blog. For more information and to register for the willow wreath workshop, visit the workshop blog.
