Randy James Vernon

March 17, 1961 - Jan. 15, 2025

Randy James Vernon passed into eternity Jan. 15, 2025 at home with his family by his side.

Born March 17, 1961, Randy was an honest, kind, and faith-filled man. He stood for the truth even if it was not popular. Randy was unapologetically loyal to God and his family. He tried to find humor in all situations. He was fun-loving and full of life. He would light up a room by walking in. His greatest joy was to watch his boys grow into the incredible young men they are today. He had unwavering faith, no matter what the circumstances, and he chose to trust God’s word over anything the eye could see.

Though he is no longer with us, his faith and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He leaves a legacy of honesty and excellence. To be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord. Randy has earned and heard the words, ” Well done, good and faithful servant!”

Randy was excellent in his work, admired by his peers, and loved deeply by his family. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the love he gave, and the memories we cherish. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Peggi; two sons, Ezekiel and Jedidiah; and his three sisters, Linda, Debbie, and Janet.

As the family grieves the loss of this incredible man and leader of the family, his wishes will be honored. He was very adamant about not having a funeral of any type. But the family wants to ensure that his boys, Ezekiel and Jedidiah, have something to hold onto. Please share words, memories, and love for him. If you have stories, letters, or reflections about Randy, whether it be heartfelt, funny, or meaningful, the family would be deeply grateful. These will serve as a lasting tribute for the boys. It is a way for them to remember their father through the eyes of those who knew him best. Please send to Peggi Vernon, 1856 Dowell Road, Grants Pass, OR 97527, or [email protected]

The family thanks you for your part in their lives and for keeping his spirit alive in the hearts of his children. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. Randy’s legacy is his firm belief in God and the Holy Scriptures.
