Local CHP office serves community meal in Quincy

Next free meal set for Feb. 12

Organizers report that the Quincy office of the California Highway Patrol hosted the Quincy Community Supper on Wednesday, Jan. 22, serving 115 meals of spaghetti with meat sauce, salad and rolls to an appreciative group of diners.

The Quincy Community Supper offers a meal with no charge the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church at 282 Jackson St. Serving the community since 2002, the supper is hosted by a rotating list of businesses, churches, service organizations, schools and offices.

The next supper will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. Limited takeout is available at 6:30. Everyone is invited for food and fellowship.
