Shelby Nussle is one of six Quincy Junior-Senior High School seniors selected by the high school faculty for exemplary academics, leadership, community service, and activities. As a member of the S-Club since her freshman year, Shelby has volunteered for numerous community service projects. She is currently working on an S-Club project called the Kindness Wall at Quincy Elementary School, which will be available in March. Students place post-it notes on the wall and are encouraged to write the acts of kindness they observe or receive.
When asked about her senior project, Shelby said, “My senior project was teaching art at the Quincy Elementary Alder School program. I taught lessons like pointillism, the technique of using dots to create paintings.
Shelby is an outstanding athlete playing varsity volleyball and basketball since her freshman year. She was basketball MVP for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons, and earned MVP in volleyball for the 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025 seasons.
After graduation, Shelby plans to attend Feather River College, playing on the FRC volleyball team. She plans to transfer to a four-year college after FRC, where she hopes to earn a degree in digital marketing.
