Quincy Community Supper reports that young people from the American Valley 4-H Club hosted the free meal Feb. 26. They served 119 meals of Chef Dale’s famous prize-winning chili with green salad and homemade cornbread. The club members helped with the preparation, served the meal and cleaned up after dinner, reported organizers. One club member said, “A lot of people came and enjoyed the dinner. It was fun.”

The Quincy Community Supper offers a meal with no charge the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church at 282 Jackson St. Serving the community since 2002, the supper is hosted by a rotating list of businesses, churches, service organizations, schools and offices.
The next supper will be held Wednesday, March 12, at 6 p.m. Limited takeout is available at 6:30. Organizers invite everyone for food and fellowship.
Questions regarding the supper, donations or signing up to volunteer may be directed to Angela Elliott at 530-283-1478.
