Soroptimist International of Quincy announces it is again offering scholarships to seniors at Quincy Junior-Senior High School, Plumas Charter School’s Quincy Learning Center and Portola Junior-Senior High School.

Applicants may apply for one of three scholarships. The academic scholarship is open to graduating seniors who plan to pursue higher education at a two-year and subsequently four-year college or university to receive a baccalaureate degree or higher.

The Theta Brown fine arts scholarship is open to seniors who plan to pursue higher education in the fine arts: music, drama, art, dance, literary arts, etc.

The technical/vocational scholarship is open to seniors who enroll in a technical/vocational program for two years receiving a certificate at completion.

Awards range from $500 to $750. Applications are available at each Quincy and Portola school site. Applicants can also contact Sue Gutierrez at [email protected]. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, April 18.

Soroptimist International of Quincy thanks the community for its continuous generous support of Soroptimist fundraising activities that provide the funding each year for these local scholarships.
