The Rotary Club of Quincy announces that Quincy Rotary’s speech and music contest winners, Matt and Fisher, won the contests’ next level as well.
The Rotary area speech and music contests were held March 8 at the Portola United Methodist Church. Students from Loyalton, Portola and Quincy all performed. The speech contestants were Matthew (Quincy), Ginger (Loyalton) and Kate (Portola). The music contestants were Thor (Loyalton), Katie (Portola) and Fisher (Quincy).
The winners, Matt and Fisher, move on to compete at the Rotary District Conference, which encompasses 62 Rotary clubs. This competition will be held in Fallon, Nevada, on Saturday, May 3.
