The nonprofit Plumas Ski Club announces this year’s longboard ski world champions, decided at the March 16 world championship Historic Longboard Revival Series race at the Johnsville Historic Ski Bowl. Contestants race on 9- to 16-foot wooden skis, wearing historical attire and leather boots.
The results for the day are as follows:
Women’s
- World champion: Gina “Hot Knife Thru Butta” Luciano
- Second place: Rachel “The Rascal” Bauer
- Third place: Abby “Calamity Abby” Marshall
