Feather River College announces that guest poet Gailmarie Pahmeier will be visiting FRC on Monday, April 7, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the library.
In celebration of National Poetry Month, the event will include a reading and craft talk, say organizers. An open mic session follows from 6:30 to 7:30. Community members are welcome.
Pahmeier was named the Nevada poet laureate in 2021, and a laureate fellow of the Academy of American Poets in 2022. Her works include “The House on Breakaheart Road,” “The Rural Lives of Nice Girls” and “Of Bone, Of Ash, Of Ordinary Saints: A Nevada Gospel.”
