Soroptimists celebrate women making a difference

Soroptimist International of Quincy members invite the community to join them for their 14th annual awards dinner celebrating local women making a local difference. The event is set for Tuesday, April 22, in the Tulsa Scott Pavilion at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy. The cost is $32 per person.

A social time begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6. The menu consists of smoked chicken, vegetables, salad, rolls and dessert.

This year, Soroptimists will be honoring the following:

  • Traci Turner, Women Helping Community Award
  • Chrissy Vickrey, Women Making Our Community Safer Award
  • Kelsea Johnson, Women Supporting the Arts Award
  • Lori Simpson, Sunshine Award
  • Michelle Agpalo, Live Your Dream recipient
  • Amelia Froggatt, Elsa Thomas and Jim Bequette, Penny Pines recipients
  • Skylar McCarthy and Jake Thackeray, local high school awards
  • And more

Organizers ask that attendees confirm their attendance and any guest names by April 15 to Tracy Wixted at 650-773-1935 or [email protected]. Checks can be made payable to SI Quincy and mailed to Tracy Wixted, P.O. Box 403 Quincy, CA 95971. Payment can also be sent via Venmo using @Tracy-Wixted. Payment must be sent by April 15.
