Feather River College reports the success of its inaugural Business Administration Panel Speaker Series event last month. In collaboration with business instructor Joseph Clottey, the event facilitated a dynamic exchange between students and Plumas County business professionals, focusing on leadership, career advancement and industry trends, said organizers.
The featured speakers were:
- Amber Marshall, vice president, risk management officer, Plumas Bank
- JoDee Read, chief executive officer, Plumas District Hospital
- Dave Little, accountant, Sierra Pacific Industries
- Alex Westerberg, owner, Rich Bar and American Valley Hardware
The speaker series saw over 50 attendees, many of whom attend Clottey’s business classes. Organizers said attendees engaged with the panelists and gained insights into the local business world.
Moderated by Clottey, the panel explored key topics such as adaptability and future trends, ethical decision making, innovation and leadership, and team dynamics. The panelists shared insights into their professional journeys and leadership approaches.
“This event provided students with a unique opportunity to network with industry leaders and acquire practical knowledge essential for their academic and career pursuits,” said Kevin Trutna, FRC president and superintendent.
