The Office of Assemblywoman Heather Hadwick announces that the California Fish and Game Commission’s Wildlife Resources Committee is meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, to consider two major issues that will directly impact how rural communities manage wildlife: bear hunting and regulatory changes; and coyote take rules, including hunting, depredation and pest control.
“These proposals could severely restrict local tools to protect livestock, pets and public safety in rural and agricultural areas,” said Hadwick’s office. Hadwick serves the 1st Assembly District, which includes Plumas County.
Hadwick’s office encourages her constituents to submit public comments and, if they can, attend the meeting in person or via Zoom to make their voices heard.
The committee’s agenda is available here. Instructions on how to join the meeting online or via phone are available here. Comments can be emailed to [email protected]. The meeting will be held on the second floor of the California Natural Resources Building, 715 P St. in Sacramento, and the Zoom link is https://wildlife-ca-gov.zoom.us/j/82201466595.
