Sierra Valley Little League reports that T-ball season has begun. Starting on opening day May 3, budding all-stars between the ages of 4 and 6 are learning to hit a ball off a stick.
“The games are hilarious!” said Ralph Cutter, team volunteer and grandfather of player No. 3. “Sometimes the batter chases down their own hit ball and bases get run in the wrong direction. No matter what, every child gets a high five and standing ovation from the bench.”
Cutter said there are no losers: “Every kid wins by participating at a young age in team sports.”
Signups are over for this year. But Cutter encourages the community to support young athletes: “Bring your littles to a game to get inspired for next season and have a great time watching.”
