Seneca Healthcare District announces that its annual wellness screenings, sponsored by Seneca Hospital Auxiliary, will be held this year at the Seneca Healthcare Foundation office, 317 Main St. in Chester. The screenings include options for blood tests and imaging and are set for:
- Tuesday, June 3, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 4, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
- Saturday, June 7, 9 – 11:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, June 10, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 11, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
Payment will be accepted by cash or check only; credit cards will not be accepted. Wellness testing and exam teports will be sent to the primary care provider indicated on a patient’s lab request form. Participants may also request a copy from the Seneca medical records department at 833-227-3743.
Participants can make an appointment with their primary care physician to discuss their wellness screening results. Those who do not have a primary care physician and would like to follow up with Seneca Healthcare District can call 833-227-3743.
Blood tests
The blood draw costs $60 and requires eight to 10 hours of fasting. No appointment is necessary, and participants must drink water only. The draw includes the following tests:
- Complete blood count without differential
- Comprehensive metabolic panel
- Lipids: total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, direct LDL cholesterol
- Thyroid stimulating hormone
Total vitamin D may be added for an additional $30. For men, total prostate specific antigen testing may be added for an additional $20.
Imaging studies
Low-cost imaging studies cost $124. Osteoporosis screenings by limited dual x-ray absorptiometry scan are limited and will be scheduled during the wellness screening.
