Diamond Mountains Equine announces an upcoming screening of the film “Common Ground” at 7 p.m. May 28 at the Town Hall Theatre in Quincy. The event is presented in partnership with Plumas Arts, Feather River Resource Conservation District, Plumas Audubon and California Audubon.
“Common Ground” is a hope-inspiring film about saving the planet, one acre at a time, say organizers. California Audubon Conservation Ranching Program Director Pelayo Alvarez will introduce the film and discuss local opportunities for farmers, ranchers, birders, gardeners, artists and more.
Organizers say Alvarez is in the process of certifying a local ranch and will be discussing how other local food producers can become certified with the state Audubon conservation program: “This is the emerging vanguard of the environmental movement adapting to our new world.”
