Indian Valley Innovation Hub announces a business workshop set for May 29 in Greenville. This Accelerate Your Business event, supported by ChicoSTART, is specifically designed to provide tools and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of postwildfire recovery and set a stronger foundation for the future.
“We understand that the past few years have brought unprecedented challenges to our community and that rebuilding your business after the wildfires is a monumental task,” said IVIH. “We see your strength and resilience, and we’re here to help. This is a chance to get personal attention for your business, connect with others facing similar challenges and gain practical insights on how to move forward.”
The event will be held at Plumas Bank, 121 Crescent St. Registration is available online.
The workshop is aimed at entrepreneurs, those running startups or small businesses, and anyone looking to learn something new for their business or idea.
After an attendee check-in at 2:45 p.m., the California Department of General Services will offer a presentation on doing business with the state at 3 p.m. Participants can learn about the benefits of becoming a state-certified small business that can sell products and services to the state.
At 4 p.m. the California Office of the Small Business Advocate will present on disaster preparedness for small businesses. Outsmart Disaster is a statewide campaign led by CalOSBA to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies. Outsmart Disaster equips California businesses and nonprofits with the training and resources they need to prepare for and recover from all types of business interruptions.
At 5 p.m., IVIH will present, covering digital support for Plumas County businesses, business counseling, assistance with business plans, local grants, the Made in Plumas County Program and more.
Participants are invited to stay and connect with other entrepreneurs at 6 p.m. at The Spot in Greenville.
