Leslie Ann Mikesell

April 8, 1957 – May 19, 2025

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we celebrate the life of Leslie Ann Mikesell, a radiant soul whose strength, warmth and adventurous spirit touched everyone she met. Leslie passed away peacefully May 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born April 8, 1957, in Richmond, California, Leslie lived with grace, grit and an unshakable zest for life. A fierce competitor and lifelong athlete, she found joy and empowerment through floor hockey, racquetball, Pilates, step aerobics and 4-wheeling. Whether leading a class or taking on the outdoors, Leslie moved through life with purpose and passion.

In the 1980s, Leslie moved to Quincy, California, a place that became home to her growing family and a hub of the meaningful work she would do for decades. At Feather River College, Leslie built a career dedicated to learning, mentorship and community. Her impact there was profound and lasting.

Leslie was a loving and devoted wife to her husband and best friend, Randy Mikesell. Together, they shared a life of deep connection and worldly adventure. Their travels took them to Japan, Mexico, Niagara Falls, the Oregon Coast and Amish Country in Ohio. Their journey began with a honeymoon in Destin, Florida, and continued with memories made across continents and coasts.

She also shared unforgettable adventures with her sistersher beloved mother and grandmother, including cherished trips to Costa Rica and an Alaskan cruise, a testament to the strong bond among generations of amazing women.

Leslie’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and her Graeagle Community Church family held a very special place in her heart. She served faithfully as a member of the church board, the women’s ministry board, and as the church treasurer. She poured her heart into ministry—joyfully hosting a table at the church’s beloved seasonal tea celebration, participating in weekly Bible studies, and engaging in as many church events and outreach opportunities as she could. Her faith shone brightly in all she did, offering others strength, comfort and a beautiful example of God’s love in action.

Above all, Leslie was a devoted mother to Mandylee Reeves, Zephaniah Moseley and Shannon Moseley, and a proud, loving “GMA” to her four adored grandchildren: Tyler, Kaia, Emmi and Kalijah. Her love for them was infinite—fierce, nurturing and unconditional. She cheered the loudest, hugged the longest and offered unwavering support and encouragement to all she loved.

Leslie is also lovingly survived by her sisters, Lisa Lee and Laurie Rodriguez, and a wide circle of extended family, friends, students and church family who were fortunate to know her light.

A celebration of Leslie’s life will be held June 14 at 1:00 p.m., at Graeagle Community Church, 150 Graeagle Johnsville Rd, CA 96103. In honor of her adventurous heart and generous spirit, the family welcomes donations in her memory to a cause reflecting her love for health, nature, education or faith.

Leslie’s spirit will live on in every mountain breeze, every classroom, every joyful gathering and every heartfelt prayer. She lived. She loved. She inspired. And she will never be forgotten.
