Free compost tea workshop set for May 31 in Quincy

Lost Sierra Food Project announces it is hosting a free compost tea workshop Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to noon at Rugged Roots Farm in Quincy.

Organizers say participants can learn how to boost beneficial microbial life in their soil and get the most out of their compost by making compost tea. LSFP says this technique is great for gardens of all sizes, and all ages and experience levels are welcome at the event.

The workshop is led by Bethany Rouse, LSFP program manager and Feather River College eco farm instructor.

This training is part of LSFP’s 2025 summer workshop series, presented with support from the Feather River Community Fund and independent donors.
