Special board of supes meeting covers wildfire recovery

Plumas County announces that the board of supervisors will hold a special meeting June 6 to discuss wildfire recovery. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. in the Indian Valley Academy library, 117 Grand St. in Greenville.

The meeting will be held in person and also include a virtual option via live streaming. The phone number is 1-669-900-9128; the meeting ID is 948 7586 7850; and the passcode is 261352.

The county said this special meeting is an important opportunity for the community to engage with the supervisors to discuss wildfire recovery and the county’s insurance settlement. The community can also comment on next steps and how following the principles and implementing the priorities adopted by the board May 6 in Resolution No. 25-9015 will guide its decision making for the expenditure of the unobligated Plumas County 2021 Dixie Fire Pacific Gas and Electric Co. settlement funds.

A previous special wildfire recovery meeting was held in Greenville April 25 and included the Plumas County Board of Supervisors and the Dixie Fire Collaborative Steering Committee. Information provided at that meeting is available on the county website.

Pursuant to the Ralph M. Brown Act, the June 6 agenda and backup materials will be posted on the board of supervisors agendas and minutes website a minimum of 24 hours prior to the special meeting. Anyone with questions or who would like more information can contact Allen Hiskey, clerk of the board, at 530-283-6170 or [email protected].
