Masquerade ball, rustic charm: PCS hosts two proms

Plumas Charter School announces that students danced the night away this May at two unforgettable prom celebrations — one in Quincy and one in Greenville. The school highlights the creativity and community support that gave high school students a chance to dress up, make memories and celebrate the end of the school year in style.

Quincy Learning Center hosted its prom Saturday, May 3, transforming the historic Plumas County Courthouse in Quincy into a glamorous masquerade ball. Elegant masks, string lights and music set the tone for a night of mystery and fun as students arrived dressed to impress. “From dancing under the chandeliers to posing for photos on the courthouse steps, it was truly a prom fit for royalty,” said organizers.

Two weeks later, Indian Valley Academy held its prom Saturday, May 17, at the picturesque Meyers Ranch in Greenville. With the natural beauty of Indian Valley as a backdrop, the evening offered a rustic yet enchanting atmosphere. “Students enjoyed dancing surrounded by twinkling lights, open space and the warmth of a close-knit community,” said organizers.

PCS offers a heartfelt thank-you to the dedicated parent volunteers from both Quincy Learning Center and Indian Valley Academy, whose time and effort made these magical nights possible: “From decorating and organizing to chaperoning and cleanup, their support helped create joyful, memorable experiences for students.”
