Plumas Audubon Society invites the community to gather for a summer solstice morning bird walk around Rugged Roots Farm. The event, held in partnership with Lost Sierra Food Project, is set for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21.
“Songbirds will be in full breeding plumage, singing their hearts out and furiously building nests for their coming summer brood,” say organizers.
The farm is located at 501 Crescent St. across from the airport in Quincy. No RSVP is required for the bird walk.
