Feather River College Athletics announces that the Golden Eagles 2025 softball team finished 22-14 on the season and took second place in the Golden Valley Conference. The team advanced to the California Community College Athletic Association Northern California regional playoffs as the No. 15 seed. Six players received all-conference honors, and four players were named to the academic all-state team.
Freshman Faith Helmandollar, from Queen Creek, Arizona, stacked up a number of prestigious honors. The 5-foot, 8-inch corner player was voted Golden Valley Conference player of the year, as well as receiving all-state north and first team all-conference recognition. Helmandollar finished the season with a .421 batting average and knocked in 33 RBIs.
Freshman pitcher Brittney Byram completed her outstanding freshman campaign by winning 17 starts with a a 2.00 earned run average and 1.24 walks plus hits per inning pitched. Byram, from Reno, was selected to the all-northern team, as well as the first team all-conference.

Coaches say the Golden Eagles look to fly high in 2026 as two more returning freshmen received first team all-conference honors as well: Lily Lee, from Carson City, Nevada, and Mckynlee Gay, from Quincy. Lee amassed a .429 batting average with six home runs, while Gay hit .364 with nine stolen bases.
Shortstop Emma Robles, a freshman from Delano, and outfielder Mya Roberts, a freshman from Markleeville, received second team all-conference honors.
Four members of the team also earned academic all-state honors: Alexa Baumgartner, Braelyn Birkel, Mackenzie Bradley and Jessica Callaway.
