The Lake Almanor Elks Lodge announces it is joining lodges across the United States to proudly observe Flag Day. Organizers says this continues a deeply rooted tradition that the began in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in 1908.
The Lake Almanor Elks will be conducting a formal observance June 14 at 10 a.m. at Truman Collins Softball Field located at 101 Meadowbrook Lane in Chester.
After the service Elks members will be serving free hot dogs, chips and drinks.
