The Lake Almanor Country Club Men’s Golf Association reports that it successfully hosted its third annual Folds of Honor Charity Golf Tournament and dinner May 30 at the LACC Golf Course and Clubhouse.
This sold-out event raised over $18,000 for the Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization established in 2007 that provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled members of the military and first responders. To date, Folds of Honor has awarded over 62,000 scholarships totaling nearly $290 million.
During this year’s tournament festivities, LACC organizers recognized Almanor Fishing Association board member Robert Gonzalez for his service and years of outstanding work in the community.
