Seneca completes annual wellness screenings

Seneca Healthcare District announces the successful completion of its annual community wellness screenings, held over two weeks at the Seneca Healthcare Foundation office. These screenings were a public event open to all, dedicated to improving the health, wellness and well-being of the community by offering low-cost blood draws, imaging and more, said SHD.

This initiative was made possible by the combined efforts of several departments and volunteers, all working together to ensure a smooth, safe and welcoming experience for every participant. “We are deeply grateful to everyone involved and are honored to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals and teams who made this event a success,” said SHD.

Organizers acknowledged the following contributions:

  • The health information and information technology departments ensured that systems ran efficiently and data remained secure.
  • The nursing staff performed blood draws and helped participants feel comfortable.
  • The finance department accepted and processed payments.
  • The maintenance and safety team ensured the building was set up with essential equipment.
  • The housekeeping team maintained a clean, sanitary space throughout the event.
  • Seneca Auxiliary volunteers greeted guests and helped with registration.

SHD points out that these screenings, headed by clinic manager Jessica Gorbet, are just one of the ways that the hospital upholds its commitment to community health and wellness. “By providing convenient, low-cost access to essential health services, we aim to empower individuals with knowledge, support early detection and connect our community with the resources needed to lead healthier lives,” said SHD.
