The Northern California and Northern Nevada area Alzheimer’s Association announces an upcoming presentation called “Dementia and Caregiving 101” set for Thursday, July 31, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Plumas District Hospital. The event will be held in the administration conference room at 1065 Bucks Lake Road in Quincy.
Organizers will offer a brief overview of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, community impact, common warning signs and ways to get help. Participants can learn about establishing a system of support, resources, seeking help and how to be a sustainable and resilient caregiver through self-care.
The presentation runs from 10 to 11 a.m.; it is followed by an optional caregiver survey. This event is made possible by Passages Caregiver Resource Center, Plumas Hospital District and the Alzheimer’s Association.
