Dementia caregiving presentation comes to Quincy

The Northern California and Northern Nevada area Alzheimer’s Association announces an upcoming presentation called “Dementia and Caregiving  101” set for Thursday, July 31, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Plumas District Hospital. The event will be held in the administration conference room at 1065 Bucks Lake Road in Quincy.

Organizers will offer a brief overview of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, community impact, common warning signs and ways to get help. Participants can learn about establishing a system of support, resources, seeking help and how to be a sustainable and resilient caregiver through self-care.

The presentation runs from 10 to 11 a.m.; it is followed by an optional caregiver survey. This event is made possible by Passages Caregiver Resource Center, Plumas Hospital District and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Registration is available at https://bit.ly/Quincy0731, by calling Passages Caregiver Resource Center at 530-898-5925 or by calling the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 helpline at 800-272-3900.
