June 25: Wednesday Playday
The Graeagle Men’s Golf Association reports that 18 players soaked up the sun and competed in a Best Ball Front Nine/Both Balls Back Nine game with skins during the group’s Wednesday Playday June 25. The winners came in as follows:
- First place, tie: Roger Ashby and Dave MacDonald, 105, and Jef McKenzie and Jim Oster, 105
- Third place: Davin Fabrizio and Tony Gonzales, 108
Three individual skins were won by the following players:
- Michael Gunter, with a 2 on the first hole
- Dave MacDonald, with a 3 on the second hole
- Chuck Franck, with a 3 on the 11th hole

June 26: Mohawk Cup
The first event of the Mohawk Cup series took place June 26, reports the Graeagle Men’s Golf Association. Nine players from Whitehawk Ranch Golf Club teamed with nine players from the GMGA for a game counting the best net score on the front nine and a two-man scramble on the back nine. The winners of the tightly contested competition were:
- First place: Mick Soli, Whitehawk, and Mike Irving, GMGA, with 62
- Second place: Joe Smock, Whitehawk, and Anthony Miranda, GMGA, with 64
- Third place, tie: Bill Crabtree, Whitehawk, and Mark Yuill, GMGA, with 65; Bob Davies, Whitehawk, and Lance Raglen, GMGA, with 65
The second event of the Mohawk Cup series is scheduled for July 10 at Whitehawk Ranch Golf Club.
June 27: Friday Playday
The Graeagle Men’s Golf Association reports that 18 players competed in an In the Box game with skins on a sunny and warm day June 27. The winners came in as follows:
- First place: Mike Simpson and Mark Yuill, 89
- Second place: Paul Senft and Jeff McKenzie, 90
- Third place: Jim Oster and Chuck Hein, 93
Three individual skins were won by the following players:
- Dave MacDonald, with a 2 on the sixth hole
- Mike Quesenberry, with a 2 on the 10th hole
- Dan Anderson, with a 2 on the 12th hole
