Plumas Bank hosted the Quincy Community Supper July 9. For the hot day, the menu included chicken Caesar salad, chips and salsa and watermelon. Volunteers served 100 meals in a little over an hour.
The Quincy Community Supper offers a meal with no charge the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Methodist church, 282 Jackson St. Serving the community since 2002, the supper is hosted by a rotating list of businesses, churches, service organizations, schools and offices.
The next supper will be on Wednesday July 23 at 6 p.m. at the Methodist Church. Limited takeout is available at 6:30. Organizers invite everyone for food and fellowship.
