Reverend Beat-Man to perform in Quincy

Swiss musician and DJ Reverend Beat-Man announces plans to kick off a United States tour at Rich Bar Tap Room in Quincy August 10.

Reverend Beat-Man has achieved rock and roll lifer status over four decades in the underground music scene, having gotten his start in 1992 under the name Lightning Beat-Man, king of Wrestling Rock n’ Roll. Since reinventing himself as Reverend Beat-Man in 2002, he has releasing nine albums. He has performed “blues trash” across six of the seven continents and runs imprint Voodoo Rhythm Records, a no-borders launching pad for fringe bands across punk, garage, cumbia, industrial, rockabilly, noise and other genres too strange to be categorized within a mainstream framework, he reports.

“We are living in crazy times and i make crazy music so that is a perfect fit,” said Reverand Beat-Man, of his current tour. “I haven’t played the west coast for many, many years and it’s about time to come back to play some insane blues trash.”
