July 23: Wednesday Play Day

Twenty-one Graeagle Men’s Golf Association golfers competed in a Best Ball on Pars 3 and 5/Both Balls on Par 4s plus skins game on a beautiful sunny day in Graeagle. The results are as follows:

  • First place: Nate Coats and Mike Irving, 102
  • Second place: Paul Senft and John Capdeville, 112 
  • Third place, tie: Jeff McKenzie and Jack Gilbert, and Roger Ashby and John Jackson, both 118
  • Penultimate: Jim Reynolds and John Mitchell 

Ten individual skins were taken on the day:

  • Nate Coats, with a 2 on the sixth hole, a 1 on the eighth hole, a 2 on the 10th hole, and a 2 on the 15th hole
  • Lance Raglen, with a 2 on the third hole
  • John Jackson, with a 3 on the fifth hole
  • Jim Oster, with a 3 on the seventh hole 
  • Jack Gilbert, with a 2 on the 16th hole
  • Bob Laxague, with a 2 on the 17th hole
  • Tony Gonzales, with a 4 on the 18th hole

July 25 and 26: Graeagle Invitational

The 2025 Graeagle Men’s Golf Association Graeagle Invitational took place July 25 and 26 at Graeagle Meadows Golf Course. The results follow.

Combo tees gross: Team Capdeville, 297

Combo tees net:

  • First: Team Monaghan, 252
  • Second: Team Miranda, 261
  • Third: Team Pinson, 264, won tiebreaker
  • Fourth: Team Judson, 264, lost tiebreaker
  • Fifth: Team Eaton, 266

White tees gross: Team Jordan, 287

White tees net:

  • First: Team Maniery, 256
  • Second: Team Coats, 258
  • Third: Team Humphreys, 260
  • Fourth: Team Voorhees, 262

July 30: Wednesday Playday

A best Ball Front 9/Both Balls Back 9 and skins game was completed by 24 Graeagle Men’s Golf Association golfers on July 30. The overcast but warm day produced the following winners:

  • First place: Don Judson and Mike Irving, 104 
  • Second place: Ron Deicke and Mike Gunter, 105 
  • Third place: Jim Reynolds and Grant Mayfield, 106 
  • Fourth place: Lance Raglen and  Dennis Flynn, 109; Travis Humphreys and Jim Oster, 109 

Nine individual skins were taken by the following players:

  • Mike Quesenberry, with a 2 on the first hole
  • Grant Mayfield, with a 3 on the sixth hole
  • Lance Raglen, with a 2 on the ninth hole
  • Mike Simpson, with a 2 on the 15th hole
  • Dennis Flynn, with a 4 on the 18th hole
  • Mike Gunter, with a 4 on the fifth hole and a 2 on the 13th hole
