Lost Sierra Food Project invites the community to support Plumas County’s local food movement with an afternoon spent at the Brewing Lair. On Saturday, Aug. 23, from 3 to 8 p.m., a portion of every food purchase and drink sold at The Brewing Lair will be donated to LSFP thanks to the generosity of the Brewing Lair and Ricochet Cafe, report organizers.
LSFP is raising funds for its food access program, which provides free produce to 40 Plumas County households and three food banks, and for its regional partnership efforts for increased food security.

The Aug. 23 event will feature music by the Danny Horton Trio plus Rugged Roots farm flowers. LSFP staff and board members will also be on hand at the event to chat and mingle. A door prize will be given away, offering the chance to win LSFP merchandise and a farm gift card.
The Brewing Lair is located at 67007 Highway 70 in Blairsden. LSFP’s production farm, Rugged Roots, is located at 501 Crescent St. in Quincy, across from Gansner Airfield. LSFP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to increase access to local foods for Plumas County residents, prioritizing underserved populations; provide workforce development programs; and create educational food and farming opportunities.
