The Almanor Foundation reports that Plumas County and the Rural Community Assistance Corporation are inviting leaders and interested residents to join them in an initiative to strengthen the economic resilience of the Lake Almanor Basin.
Through the Recharge Our Community’s Economy workshops — part of RCAC’s Building Rural Economies Smart Growth program — Lake Almanor Basin business owners and residents can craft strategies that will spark opportunity, support small businesses and build local wealth, say organizers.
Workshops are set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Almanor Recreation Center on the following Wednesdays:
- Sept. 3
- Oct. 1
- Oct. 29
- Nov. 19
Attendance at every workshop is not mandatory, and lunch is provided.
“The insight and support of businesses and residents will help shape impactful, sustainable outcomes for the Almanor Basin communities. We hope you will consider participating in these workshops to unlock the basin’s economic potential,” said TAF, which joins the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce and the Seneca Foundation in supporting the effort.
More information on ROCE workshop successes is available online, as is registration.
The Almanor Foundation serves as the fiscal sponsor for The Plumas Sun.
