The Plumas County Fire Safe Council reminds the community of the upcoming Firewise meeting in Portola. The group meets at 6 p.m. every third Thursday at the Portola branch of the Plumas County Library, at 34 Third Ave. The next meeting is set for Aug. 21.
Local Firewise residents and partners will gather to discuss strategies and community resilience. “Your participation makes a difference — showing up and sharing your perspective helps keep this work moving forward together,” said the council.
