PG&E suggests tips for staying cool, reducing energy use

Pacific Gas and Electric Co. reports that its meteorology department is forecasting a heat wave approaching the local service area starting today and lasting into the early weekend.

Parts of the North Valley and Sierra Region will likely see higher-than-average temperatures lasting several days. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of inland California while an extreme heat warning is in effect Thursday over portions of Central California and further south.
