Grant provides climate control for Greenville thrift store

The Almanor Foundation announces it has granted Indian Valley Thrift Shop Association “much-needed” funds to install split air/heater units in both the main and back rooms of the shop. “This upgrade will provide year-round comfort for both shoppers and volunteers, improving the overall experience and safety within the space,” said TAF.

The funding comes through TAF’s Wildfire Relief & Recovery Grant Program, which supports frontline organizations aiding in community recovery. Designed to fill critical funding gaps, the program prioritizes those with the greatest need — especially in areas still feeling the long-term effects of wildfire devastation.

“Thanks to this grant, the Indian Valley Thrift Shop can continue serving the community in a more comfortable and sustainable way, no matter the season,” said organizers.

The Indian Valley Thrift Shop Association is a 100% volunteer association with all proceeds benefiting Indian Valley. The store is located at 101 Pine St. at The Spot in Greenville. More information is available at https://www.facebook.com/IVTSAGV.

The Almanor Foundation serves as the fiscal sponsor for The Plumas Sun.
