Audience participation invited at screening of ‘Grease’

Plumas Arts invites the community to a “night of nostalgia, music and pure fun” as the Town Hall Theatre brings the iconic musical “Grease” to the big screen Thursday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m.

The audience is invited to sing along to unforgettable hits like “Summer Nights,” “You’re the One That I Want” and “Greased Lightnin’” as Danny, Sandy and the Pink Ladies light up the theatre.

“This is more than just a movie — it’s a community celebration!” said Plumas Arts. Organizers encourage participants to dress up in their favorite 1950s style and bring the whole family, whether they’re lifelong fans or introducing the next generation to Rydell High: “So slick back your hair, dust off your poodle skirt and get ready — because ‘Grease’ is still the word!”

Tickets cost the same as regular movie showings at the Town Hall Theatre: $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and $7 for kids 12 and under. Information on the current movie schedule and online ticket sales are available at https://www.plumasarts.org/town-hall-theatre.html.
