The Plumas County Library announces that the free Brainfuse HelpNow tutoring service has been expanded with new hours and new languages. This service provides direct, one-to-one professional tutoring for all ages and subjects. “Take the pressure off of going to school with this valuable resource!” say staff.
Brainfuse HelpNow provides
- Homework help: Interact with live tutors in math, science, reading/writing and social studies. Test preparation help is available for PSAT/SAT, ACT, advanced placement and state standardized tests.
- Skills building: Users can choose a topic to receive real-time help.
- Personalized e-learning tools: Options include file sharing, session replays, tutoring archives, test archives and more.
- 24-Hour writing lab: Submit essays and other forms of writing for constructive feedback.
- Homework send question: Submit homework questions for expert guidance.
- Adult learning center: Access a library of adult learning content geared toward general educational development and live, professional assistance in resume/cover letter writing, U.S. citizenship preparation, Microsoft Office skills and more.
Tutoring is available 24/7 in math, reading and writing. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for other subjects. Bilingual tutors are available in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog and Vietnamese.
No library card is needed for these services. However, the library suggests users make an account to keep track of all progress and materials. Some parts of the website are only accessible by signing in. Users do not need an email to create an account.
