Eastern Plumas Health Care reports that CEO Doug McCoy recently addressed concerns about Medicaid cuts and clarified what is in House of Representatives 1, the “big, beautiful bill.” Delivered by video message to the community, McCoy’s message offered a candid dialog between himself and Dr. Paul Swanson, director of the emergency department and member of the EPHC board of directors.
With the focus on Medicaid cuts, and how these changes are predicted to impact coverage, McCoy shared a series of questions and answers that addressed community concerns. He also provided confirmation that EPHC is in a solid financial position to navigate the anticipated cuts.
McCoy informed the community about EPHC’s plans, including expansion of services and proactive measures that will ensure the long-term viability of the hospital and clinics, said the hospital.
