The Almanor Foundation invites residents to answer the call to build Chester and the Lake Almanor Basin’s future together by participating in an economic workshop series.
“Picture this,” say organizers. “Local businesses are alive with year-round activity. Good-paying jobs that keep families secure. Young people choosing to stay — or return home. New families moving here, drawn by opportunity and community. If that vision resonates with you, then you’re already qualified to take part.”
The Recharge Our Community’s Economy workshop series is a hands-on, community-driven initiative funded by Plumas County. TAF points out that ROCE uses a proven model for economic growth — identifying local strengths, mapping demand and connecting businesses, talent and resources to real opportunities.
The first workshop launched Sept. 3. The next session is set for Oct. 1, and TAF said it’s not too late to join. The commitment for participation is three days total, spread across the next 60 days. “Even if you can’t make every session, your voice matters,” say organizers. “Every bit of participation moves us forward.”
Perspectives are welcome from everyone in the area: business owners, parents, retirees, students, part-time residents, etc. Registration is available online.
The Almanor Foundation serves as the fiscal sponsor for The Plumas Sun.
