Lake Almanor’s Catholic church, Our Lady of the Snows, announces it is offering a blessing of the animals Oct. 5.
As the parish celebrates the feast of St. Francis, organizers invite community members to bring their animal companions for a blessing outside the church after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Participants are invited to join the church in giving thanks to God for his creation and asking for the animals’ health and well-being.
Organizers request that owners keep their animals outside of the church and on leashes or in pet carriers or trailers. Our Lady of the Snows is located at 220 Clifford Drive in Chester.
