AWANA Club kicks off in Greenville

Greenville Southern Baptist Church reports it is once again sponsoring the AWANA Club for Indian Valley boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade. Opening night is set for Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 3 p.m. Participants will meet at Open Door, next to the main church building at 241 Wolf Creek Road.

AWANA Club meets on Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The final club meeting will be held March 25, 2026.

Parents can register clubbers online, and there is also an option to register clubbers in person. Participants can join anytime during the year.

Organizers say this Bible-based, nondenominational kids’ program combines games, music, memorization and engaging stories in an exciting way to help churches and parents raise children to know, love and serve Christ. “It is a very active and engaging environment for kids,” say organizers. A snack will be provided for all participants.

GSBC has been involved in the AWANA Club program since 1999. More information is available from Pastor Terry Jones at 903-787-6242 or Commander Scott Abrams at 530-249-4351.
