Feather River College invites the community to join its Veteran Services department, along with the Plumas County Veterans Affairs Office and Kenneth M. Hayes Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3825, as the college honors those who have served the United States of America through any of the U.S. armed forces branches.
This special ceremony begins at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, on the FRC campus at the upper flagpole. The ceremony will feature the raising of the American flag to honor veterans’ dedication and sacrifice. Also included will be a special bugle performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” with remarks from distinguished veterans and student representatives.
The ceremony is being organized by FRC Veteran Services. Organizers point out that the college is a proud supporter of veterans and serves this population of students through its Veteran Services office. This department offers student veterans access to educational benefits, work-study programs and other veteran resources.
More information on the ceremony and the FRC Veteran Services department is available on the Feather River College website.
