Sierra Valley Words & Music features Kepple family

Plumas Arts, in partnership with the Feather River Land Trust, invites the community to an evening with Jeff Kepple and family at Words & Music Thursday, Nov. 13. The event will be held at the Sierra Valley Nature Preserve. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 6 followed by an open mic session. Admission costs $5, and a cash bar will be available.

This month’s featured performer is Jeff Kepple, joined by his daughters Kelsey Kepple and Natalie Hagwood. Together, they weave rich harmonies and heartfelt lyrics that reflect the deep connection between music, family and the natural world, said Plumas Arts.

Many of Jeff’s recent songs have been inspired by remote, wild places — where the rhythms and sounds of landscapes and living things resonate like ancient music. Yet his songwriting also finds beauty in the familiar — the “everyday wonders” that spark awe, peace and reflection. His work often explores the human response to nature, ranging from harmony and wonder to fear and disconnection.

Organizers encourage folks to gather as Words & Music celebrates the creative spirit of the region in a stunning natural setting, bringing the arts and the outdoors to life in Sierra Valley.

The Sierra Valley Nature Preserve is located at 495 Beckwourth Calpine Road in Beckwourth.
