An evening with Hank & Shaidri Alrich

Plumas Arts invites the community to an evening of live music and camaraderie at Words & Music featuring Hank and Shaidri Alrich, a dynamic father-daughter duo. Held at Patti’s Thunder Café Thursday, Nov. 13, the event promises the warm harmonies and instrumental grace of folk musicians Hank and Shaidri, say organizers.

Born at home and nurtured on a steady diet of musical root crops, the Alrich duo draw from traditional folk and country legacies, their own original compositions and a wide range of contemporary songwriters. The result is a unique sound they call acoustic Americana — music that organizers say bridges generations and genres alike.

Hank & Shaidri’s second album, set for release in early 2026, was recorded at the legendary Cedar Creek Studio in Austin, Texas, co-produced with their manager Kevin Wommack of Traffic Management. The record will feature 10 original songs and two standout covers, supported by a stellar lineup of musicians.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. with music beginning at 7 p.m., followed by an open mic for local performers. Entry costs $5, with food and drinks available for purchase.

Longtime host of this time-honored event, Patti’s Thunder Café is located at 557 Lawrence St. in Quincy.
