The Feather River Land Trust announces a free talk at the Sierra Valley Preserve Nature Center: “Flora of Nevada County” with Shane Hanofee. The event is set for tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 14. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the talk begins at 6.
The talk is presented by the California Native Plant Society: Tahoe and Sierra Valley. Organizers say Hanofee will provide a primer on Nevada County floristics and the plants that grow here. He’ll also share the process of making a flora, the botanical history of Nevada County and some exciting discoveries made in the production of this work.
