Two options available for Quincy pickleball players

Central Plumas Recreation and Park District announces two options for for local pickleball players: winter indoor play and an evening Pickleball “Night” Club for adults only.

Winter indoor pickleball

CPRPD reports that winter pickleball registration is now open. Pickleball returned indoors starting Nov. 3 at Serpilio Hall in the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds.

Organizers say players meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. with fellow pickleballers “to show each other who’s the head pickle” and “really let them know what the big dill is.”

Registration is available online, with options for daily drop-in, monthly passes and season passes.

In addition, CPRPD has introduced Pickleball “Night” Club, a monthly 21-and-over event at Serpilio Hall.

Exclusive membership is limited to 24. Organizers invite those interested to “claim your right amongst the ranks of pickleball legends by being an original club founder.”

The club meets the first Tuesday of each month from 7 to 10 p.m. for “dinks and drinks” with libations provided by Rich Bar. A members-only discount on pickleball gear is available at American Valley Hardware in Quincy.

Registration is available on the CPRPD website.
