County 2 County Rideshare Service announces that residents and visitors across Plumas, Butte and Lassen counties can now access convenient, on-demand transportation through Uber and Lyft rideshare services.
This long-anticipated launch fills a vital transportation gap for rural Northern California communities, say organizers. Until now, limited transit options have left residents without reliable access to regional connections for work, medical appointments and travel to Chico and Redding.
“This service is a much-needed resource for our area,” said Stan Orr, a full-time Plumas County resident who now drives for Uber and Lyft rideshare services. “We’ve heard for years how difficult it can be to find rides between counties. Now, the convenience of rideshare is finally here.”
Riders can simply download the Uber or Lyft app to request a ride from anywhere in the participating counties. Organizers point out that the launch expands local mobility, supports small businesses and enhances access for visitors and residents alike.
