Seneca Healthcare Foundation reports that its Buy a Beam campaign continues to gain momentum, proving to be a powerful way for community members to leave a lasting mark — literally — on the new hospital build. The campaign raised more than $14,000 by the end of October, and SHF has extended it through November.
Each supporter who purchases a beam (column) is invited to a personal signing tour of the active construction site, said SHF. During this visit, they receive the latest updates on the hospital’s progress and get to walk through the site to see the work firsthand. Organizers point out that this is a unique opportunity to connect with the project in a meaningful and tangible way.
After their signing, participants are sent a custom map showing the exact location of their beam, along with photos from their visit. Once construction is complete, a master map displaying all beam locations will be installed inside the new hospital, adjacent to the donor wall.
“We’re currently in conversations with several more supporters who are excited to be part of this effort,” said Chelssa Outland, executive director of SHF. “The response has been incredible, and it’s clear that this program resonates with people.”
